Grain futures were under pressure throughout the day as traders weighed in on a number of bearish factors. Selling seemed to come from every corner of the market on Friday allowing few opportunities to rally.

More Delivery Points, Better Convergence -- Starting with the July 2009 contract, the CME Group said it would like to add three additional delivery territories for wheat and increase storage rates for summer and fall contracts, in order to bring about convergence between futures and cash prices. Will this do the trick?

LIVESTOCK -- DTN Closing Livestock Comments 09/05 16:31
Disappointed by sluggish feedlot sales, live cattle futures settled moderately lower. On the other hand, feeder issues were somewhat supported by sharply lower corn prices. The pork complex finished mostly lower, pressured by spec selling, long liquidation, and the implication of sagging feed costs.
