GRAINS -- DTN Closing Grain Comments 05/09 14:14
Buying interest was sparked for soybean futures Friday after the monthly supply and demand report came in less bearishly than expected, so new-crop beans are back in the teens. New-crop corn also got bargain-hunting buying interest, but wheat was slapped back onto its downward path.

Cattle futures closed impressively higher, primarily boosted by higher packer spending in the country. Pork futures settled mixed in the lean pit and significantly higher in the belly market.
